BACKGROUND |

| Student Loan International was founded by the Directors of the Atlantic Bridge Program. The Atlantic Bridge Program was founded in 1989 as a cultural diversity program to encourage partnership in education with North America, particularly medicine & veterinary medicine. In the years since 1989 the student loan products available to US students studying abroad were quite limited. In an effort to provide greater access to student loans and more importantly a greater choice of loans for students enrolled thru the Atlantic Bridge Program, the management of Atlantic Bridge founded Student Loan International. Student Loan International can now offer loan products to ALL US students studying abroad--not just students of the Atlantic Bridge Program. |
